“Those who spend in the way of Allah both in plenty and hardship, who restrain their anger, and forgive others. Allah loves such good-doers.” Surah Ali-Imran, verse 134
One of the most rewarding things we can do for ourselves and others is to control our anger. The shaitan loves when a person gives into their anger and thus, we should always seek refuge in Allah from the shaitan. Below are some key zikr you can do regularly to prevent anger and to stop anger in the moment. Feel free to choose any that is easy for you! You can also refer to image #1 for a detailed guide on steps you can take and recommended zikr. If you are looking for something quick, recite Tauz (أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ) 66 times morning and evening. It literally translates into “I seek refuge in Allah from shaitan, the outcast one.”
May Allah help us to control our anger and our tongues. Ameen!
